Town of Marlborough Escrow Policy
Regarding:
Establishment of escrow deposit for review fees
Purpose:
To provide for a deposit escrow account for fees ordinarily charged during this review process conducted by appropriate Boards of the Town of Marlborough. This action does not increase the cost incurred by an applicant but simply requires deposits in advance for requested reviews.

Pursuant to motion by the town of marlborough planning board at their monthly meeting of september 08, 2003 the following deposits are required.

  1. RESIDENTIAL SUB/DIVISION:
    Minimum deposit of $500.00 plus $150.00 per lot for the first 4 lots and $75.00 per lot for each additional lot.
  2. LOT LINE REVISION:
    Minimum deposit of $300.00 and up to $600.00 maximum at the discretion of the appropriate Board.
  3. MULTI-FAMILY SITE PLAN:
    $100.00 per unit for the first forty units and $25.00 per unit for each additional unit.
  4. COMMERCIAL SUB/DIVISION:
    $400.00 per lot for the first four lots and $200.00 per lot for each additional lot.
  5. ALL OTHER SITE PLANS:
    $750.00 minimum and up to $2000.00 maximum at the discretion of the appropriate Board.
  6. TOWN CONSULTANT ESCROW:
    $300.00 for residential $500.00 for all other applications (including commercial)
Any portion of the deposit not expended during the review shall be returned to the applicant upon final action by the appropriate charges.

If at any time during the review process the account falls below 25% of the original amount, the appropriate board may require an additional deposit of up to 50% of the original amount. This action may continue to repeat as necessary until final completion of the review.
